There was some quote with Bryke talking about how they don’t think there’s anything revolutionary about how there’s all these strong female characters in Avatar, and while that would irritate me by itself, (some dude talking about strong female characters not being revolutionary…
Very intriguing commentary, well worth a read. This will be listed in the meta archive.

The Avatar is the bridge between our world and the spirit world.
The Nicktoons Facebook account has posted the following: “Calling all AIRBENDERS!! In honor of AVATAR WEEK, we’ll be posting about the show all week long, leading up to a big Avatar surprise this weekend!”
On twitter, Nick responded to a tweet with the following: “…the big news is only Avatar-related, not Korra :)”
So this isn’t a Korra Book 2 date, but still apparently will be big Avatar news.
I would put money on some kind of news regarding the ongoing story. Perhaps the announcement of another trilogy of comics after The Search (which would be wonderful)? Or even- dare I even hope?- some kind of TV movie?

mermaid and hammer sharks? yup.
I should’ve drawn mermako instead
Yes mermako this should happen

Oooh, sauceh.
Hey all! Just a master post of all the Legend of Korra stuff I designed in my RedBubble shop! I had done the naval ship patches but unfortunately lost steam on the project before I could get to more of the ships. I might revisit them when the new season airs.
Anyway, as some of you know, some thieves stole my catalytic converter from my car and caused $1300 worth of damage, so anything you can buy even if it’s a sticker is well appreciated, a reblog is much appreciated too! I just got out of a large credit card debt after some pretty terrible luck in 2012 so this is another big setback for me. Thank you!
Here’s my Storenvy store with prints from other series (another Amon one, Sleep No More, Loki, Tron: Legacy, Code Geass, Catherine, AC3, and Dishonored plus some embarrassingly old original art)
And he said that rumor has it that there’s no blood relation between them (though he did not discuss this matter with Mike and Bryan), and that she’s a “family friend.”
I will accept this as confirmation that this woman…
…and this man….
…are an item.
And it makes perfect sense, too. He’s busy at the prison quite often, so she keeps busy with the flowers. They might have more of an “official” marriage than something that’s deeply emotional and touchy-feely, but they keep in touch with letters and messengers and weekend visits, his days at the office just tend to take about 100 hours before he can come home for dinner. They own property in the Fire Nation capital, which she maintains (and converted into a flower shop). They don’t have any kids, but they’re fine without them, and they both grew very attached to Mai. Raising flowers and taking care of a bunch of screaming prisoners is hectic enough, they don’t need to be looking after their own children, and since Mai’s dad doesn’t pay attention to her SOMEONE has to.
This is my headcanon now, and there will be NO IMMEDIATE DISPROVING.
HEADCANON ACCEPTED
legend of KORRA IS A BADASS AND DON’T YOU FORGET IT
So I finally figured out why Katara and Aang’s pet names in the comics don’t bother me.
My parents came to visit me for the weekend… swear to Koh I’ve never heard the term “sweetie” used so many times in a three-day span in my entire life… except I have because they call each other that all the time and somehow I never freaking noticed until like yesterday.
